The Place-based Learning Journey

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Place-based learning serves as the umbrella for project-based (PBL) and citizen-science endeavors. It is, as it sounds, tied to the ground on which you walk, the places we share, the homes where we belong. This workshop focuses on the natural world, and the systems in play. The goal and practice develops the student's freedom to engage, explore and explain their world. From the tools of science and communication to the gifts of art and computation, all disciplines contribute to understanding and sharing the story of a place - and our place within that story. All ages and abilities can be adaptively
reached with this method, and all disciplines intertwined. Also offered at 2:10 PM.
