Fresh Take 2022

This workshop will explore how ALL authors, can be included in literature classes. This workshop will show how easy it is to incorporate a wide variety of literature to not only include dead “white” writers, but those writers who are very much alive. A smorgasbord of literature resources will be shared as well as some of the hottest literature by some of the freshest writers currently out. This will include new, young fiction writers to slam poetry. Because of the way that Covid has altered teaching, it is apparent that teachers will need to get those students back engaged in literature again. There is no better way to engage the students than to include writers and authors that they can truly relate to.
